Exam Pattern, Selection & Eligibility for various RRB posts
RRB NTPC (UG/Graduate)
- Eligibility: 12th (UG posts), Graduates (Graduate posts), age 18–30/33 yrs
- Selection: CBT-1 → CBT-2 → Skill Test (as per post) → Document Verification
- Pattern: CBT-1 (100 Qs, 90 min), CBT-2 (120 Qs, 90 min), subjects: Math, Reasoning, GK, English
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd per wrong
RRB Group D
- Eligibility: 10th pass or ITI, age 18–33 yrs
- Selection: CBT → PET/PMT → DV → Medical
- Pattern: 100 Qs, 90 min – Science (25), Maths (25), Reasoning (30), Current Affairs (20)
- Physical: Running, carrying weight, physical standards (vary by gender)
RRB ALP & Technician
- Eligibility: 10th/ITI/Dip./Degree in Engineering, age 18–30 years.
- Selection: CBT-1 → CBT-2 (Part A & B) → CBAT (ALP only) → DV/Medical
- Pattern: CBT-1 (75 Qs, 60 min); CBT-2 (Part A: 100 Qs/90 mins, Part B: 75 Qs/60 mins)
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd
RPF Constable & SI
- Constable Eligibility: 10th pass, age 18–25 yrs
- SI Eligibility: Graduate, age 20–25 yrs
- Selection: CBT → PET/PMT → DV/Medical
- Pattern: CBT varies by post, must score min. 35% (30% SC/ST); PET includes running, long jump, physical measures
RRB JE
- Eligibility: Degree/Diploma in relevant engineering, age 18–33 years.
- Selection: CBT1 → CBT2 → DV/Medical
- Pattern: CBT1 (Math, Reasoning, GA, Science – 90 mins); CBT2 (3hrs – includes technical subjects)
DFCCIL Exams (MTS, Executive, Jr. Manager)
- Eligibility: Varies by post (10th/ITI/Dip./Deg./PG)
- Selection (Common): CBT 1 → CBT 2 → PET (MTS only)/DV/Medical
- Pattern: Technical/aptitude Qs per post
Metro Rail (UPMRC, DMRC, Gujarat Metro)
- Posts: Station Controller, Maintainer, Train Operator, CRA, etc.
- Eligibility: Varies (Diploma/Graduates)
- Selection: CBT → Skill/aptitude/psychometric/medical (as per post)

Can I apply for multiple RRB exams in the same year?
Yes, anyone can apply for multiple exams only if eligibility matches and exam dates do not clash.
