Exam Pattern, Age Limit and Eligibility
- Written/Online Exam: Objective MCQs (GS, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Law/Constitution/Current Affairs if SI); most constable-level exams 90–150 minutes.
- Physical Eligibility Test (PET): Running (1.6km–5km for males; 800m–2.4km for females), high/long jump, shot put, etc.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Height, chest, and weight as per category/gender and state norms.
- Skill Test: For posts like Driver, Programmer, Computer Operator and Stenographer.
- Medical Exam: Eye sight, general health, absence of chronic disease or infirmity.
- Reservation: As per government norms.
- Document Verification: Proof of age, education, category, and other relevant criteria.
- Interview/Viva (for SIs in some states): Personality, aptitude, legal and administrative knowledge.
- Eligibility: From 10th/12th (Constable/MTS) to Graduates (SI/ASI); some technical and skilled roles require diplomas or certifications.
