## CBSE NCERT Solutions for Chapter 4 Quadratic Equations Class 10 Maths

We have discussed about quadratic polynomials, the polynomials having degree 2. When such polynomials are equated to zero, we will have a standard form of quadratic equation ax^{2}+bx+c=0, where a is not equal to zero. In starting of the chapter, certain equations are checked if they are quadratic equation or not. After that we will discuss how to solve certain quadratic equations. Three methods has been discussed. The first one is solving it by factorisation. It is done by splitting the middle term. Next is by making perfect square. This derives the concept of quadratic formula, which can be used to solve quadratic equations. The quadratic formula makes us understand the concept of roots and discriminants of quadratic equation. Discriminants determine nature of roots. Question are asked on all these concepts.
